WHO WE ARE

We are a dedicated group of advisers and mentors who focus on helping trustees and managers, working within the charity sector. We help them deal with the challenges and issues that impact on their ability to develop their organisation and deliver the type and level of service that best fits the needs of their service users. We offer a range of skills and experience which have been gained from working with, and working for, a substantial number of clients over many years.

WHAT WE DO

In helping trustees and managers, the key approaches we use include:

  • Helping the charity focus on the opportunities and threats that it faces and linking these to its current strengths and weaknesses.

  • Facilitating strategy and business planning meetings with an emphasis on linking the charity's mission and values to medium and short term goals.

  • Mentoring individual Chairs of Trusts and Chief Executives to help them develop an appropriate working relationship, implement change and to manage conflict.

  • Facilitating a process that ensures that the relative roles, responsibilities and authority of the trustees and the management team is clear and complies with the requirements of the Charity Commission.

  • Developing and implementing personal development plans for individuals working within the charity.

  • Designing and administrating culture and staff attitude surveys.

  • Conducting detailed reviews of the current strategy of a charity.

  • Facilitating internal conferences involving some or all of the staff and volunteers within the charity.

  • Developing and delivering programmes on such issues as: the roles and responsibilities of trustees, the roles and responsibilities of the Chief Executive, developing and implementing an effective fundraising strategy, and applying a total quality approach to the management of the charity.

  • Giving specific advice on how to develop key policies such as fundraising and the management of volunteers.

  • Speaking at conferences.
